Freeze dried fruit and vegetables powders retain antioxidants |
| Crystals International claim that their range of freeze dried fruit and vegetable powders retain a superior level of natural nutrients and antioxidants in comparison to other drying processes which subject the raw material to more severe processing. They claim to have these results supported by an outside laboratory although no results were received with the press release that was sent to us.
They claim that their products are suitable for inclusion in a range of nutraceutical foods where an increase of natural antioxidants and vitamins would be appropriate. Individual ingredients that are highlighted for such applications are their Orange 100% Freeze-dried Fruit Powder for its vitamin C content, Red Sour Cherry Freeze-dried Fruit Powder for a burst of vitamin A, and Carrot 100% Freeze-dried Vegetable Powder for the benefits of beta-carotene. Their total range includes berries, citrus, vegetables and much more. They also provide a range of Non-GMO, GM-Alternative, Organic and Kosher certified freeze-dried powders. |
